Hey y'all, this was great!! 🤘✌🤘 we hit the payment a lot and
didn't see much success, but we still have our three baptismal dates
and they are super solid.

Well Last Monday, My Companion Got Dear John'd( when you are dating
someone on the mission, and they break up with you) and he took it
like a champion!

On Tuesday we hit the pavement and worked supper hard to try to find
new people and some people are just not ready but we keep working
hard.

And Wednesday thru Saturday we worked with our Baptismal dates and
that's a super blessing.
Well that just sums up the week
Oh... We went to paramount studio today so that was cool, we had a
tour and got to go on sets and stuff... Dr. Phill was there, and he
drives a cherry red Ferrari. Here are some pics

Another Day, Another week

Well, this week Flew By super Fast! we Hit the Pavement for a while and we didn't find anyone new but we still are working with our baptismal dates so that is super exciting. On Wednesday We had Zone Conference And President Gave us Some Supper Cool Training's and He talked About A meeting he had With Neil L. Anderson From quorum the Twelve Apostles, two weeks ago,  And he shared What Neil L Anderson Said. 

On Friday We Had a Unplanned District meeting, and we were talking about how can we help some of the Missionaries in our District Celebrate their first Christmas. They are from Thialand and they don't celebrate Xmas there. so we got them a couple Gifts and stuff. 

And then On Saturday We went to the Visitor Center With our investigators and their Family. The Los Angeles temple is all lit up and it looks super Sweet. 

Then We helped some Investigators that our ZL's have Move out their storage, They are supper Humble People, and they Gave me a water ski So that's cool! 

 

On Sunday we worked and stuff. Well that just sums up my week. 

oh, we did talk to some crazy guy, he was convinced that the Jets that fly in the sky is killing us, and then he showed us a picture he took of a "UFO"..... It was a paper Plate that was in the wind.

Whatsup yall, how is it going Well this week was an interesting week. Last week We Balled Out with Elder Richman And Elder Soubie, They Are some guys who Are in our District, E. Richman Is supper Funny!!!!

    On Tuesday we Hit the Pavement And worked Supper hard!! And then On Wednesday, we taught our two Baptismal Dates( supper solid) And then on Thursday we Ate So Much Food, I think we still have leftovers in our Fridge.

and on Friday we Got to set another Baptismal Date On the Same day as our Other ones, Dec. 18!!!!! In our Zone We are Projecting 8 Baptisms, So that is a great Blessing! 

And then Saturday Gets Really Interesting. So we have been instructed to Check on all the Apartments of all the people in our district and it started Raining! And on top of that We had to Do Car Inspections in the Rain! And i don't even have a jacket, because i thought it didn't rain in LA and i Couldn't go Buy One Because i'm Balling on a Budget. . And then The Sisters were just inside their warm apartment watching us, So they were kind enough to Make us Hot chocolate. But there was a problem with the Car, It had No Coolant inside so the Zone leaders came by and dropped it off.( i know what can happen to a car if it doesn't, Ask My Mom) and they made them some Hot coco as well. So Then after that we Are trying Some Referrals and we accidentally go Outside our mission Boundaries. Well That sums up the whole week.

BUSINESS IS BOOMING

How is it going ya'll, this week has been supper cool and we saw a lot of tender mercies of the lord. So on Tuesday I got my new companion, His name is Elder Zabriskie, He is from Idaho, he is cool.

On Wednesday, We went to go teach the recent convert Lessons to a little girl that got baptized my first week here and she is in a part member Family. So we went to go teach these Recent convert lessons and we walk in the house, and we were talking to them, then the mom gets up and just leaves. I'm like What tha Heck!! and then like Two minutes later she brings in about 6 Kids in her house and says pointing at some kids" these two have not been baptized yet"!! and know i'm like, What tha Heck!! So we extend the baptismal dates and they said yes. So they Will be Baptized on December 18. ( Shout out to my cuz Luis because that's his Brithdate)   and then she said that there is another kid who still needs to get Baptized, So we have a possibility of 3, and we are about to set a couple more this week. 

well That's mostly of all what happened This week!  Well the Legalized Marijuana, so that'

s very sad! We saw a little twelve year old doing it, i almost cried.

Well Have a great thanksgiving, we have dinner with some Samoans So we will eat like Kings.

Transfer week

So this week has Flew By! 

so on Wednesday We taught the lady we met at the Buddha Shop and it was supper cool because as we were setting expectations with here, telling her that she would have to read out the book of Mormon, and she told us she is already in the Book of Jacob so that was so COOL! She is about as golden as you can get, she understands a lot, but the only problem is that she lives out of our area, and on Sunday Bishop said that we need to Refer her to the other elders, i was so sad.

And then on Thursday we were driving back from exchanges and saw this guy rocking out on the side of the rode, I would have gave him some money but i'm broke as well.

and then on Sunday We Had our Transfer calls and i am staying in the Carson Area for another six weeks So that is exciting.

oh sister Green Fell and Fractured her hip. She is 91 years old and she has the funniest stories.

one of her stories( a true story) is that her and her Husband worked at the Forum For 15 years. ( it is an arena that the Lakers played at and the Los Angeles Kings Hokey team) and her husband Told Pat Riley wife that she walked like a penguin ! and after that she made her a quilt. This lady was on First name Basis with the Kings Organization , and Pat Riley ( NBA Hall Of Fame Coach)

So this week Zoomed By super fast, so on Monday, We went to the Korean Friendship Bell that was So awesome I got some cool pics. 

This Tuesday, we spent all day proselyting we knocked about 100 Doors( im Exaggerating) But no one wanted to answer the door so i was kinda ticked about that, we would look at them thru the window and they would look at us and just sit back down, so that sucks! I Have Never Been So Salty In My Life!

Wednesday was a cool Day, We found some success, and set a couple of return appointments. and then on Wednesday Night we Had to go teach a little girl the recent convert lessons, and she lives in this community called Scottsdale. I'll tell you a little about this Scottsdale community... They have Guards Strapped up to the T who walk Around the Neighborhood. Its Mad Ghetto! So the guards let us in, you have to walk in Because you have to have a permit to Park. So me and My comp are walking and I Heard a noise from a distance,  It sounded like Someone was yelling. as i got closer, the noise starts to distinct itself. and there is a group of like 7 People yelling 

SUWOOPP!!! and AYE BLOOD. My Companion Doesn't know whats Going on(Born in Utah soo that says something) , He didn't even Know what they were saying. So I, Elder Patrick Having Been Born of Goodly Parents, Therefore I was Taught somewhat in all the learning of my father ( That's The First Nephi Quote... You like that Huhhh) Decided To Cross the Street. ( You can call me a life saver) Then we taught the lesson and got out of there. 

And then On Sunday we had Fast and Testimony meeting, That was good, and Our Good lady from the Buddah Shop was there so that was Sweet!

Breaking in Apartments

hey guys, so this week has been a eventful week, well ill start of from Last Monday. 

so last Monday, we went on a hike in Palos Verdes, and before we went there, the companionship that was with us wanted to go Eat some Filipino food. And My companion and i didn't want to go so we walked next door because i wanted to see the Buddah shop. So I walk in and the lady sees our name tag and ask what church we are from, and we tell her and she was like " i went to your church last week and i saw you give a talk, on obedience"  She later told us that she had started to investigation the church because he brother is a member so that was cool. 

So on Tuesday President kinda cracked down on the rules And on how some of the missionaries are taking advantage  of the Technology. so a couple rotten apples do spoil a whole tree!

So on Friday, i went on exchanges with Elder Lozada, he is a funny Guy. And our dinner appointment was at the one place you don't want to take missionaries, A Weeding Reception. it Was a Samoan Reception So the fed Us good. 

and then Saturday Night was a Crazy day. So the Every night The Missionaries in our district have to text in to our district leader, Who is my companion, and this one set of elders didn't text in. So we Called them like Three times, No answer. Call the Zone Leaders to tell them, They Called them, No answer. We had the AP's Call them, No answer. So they Told us to go to their Apartment to see if they are home. We go there and a lady wont let us in ( she hate us cause she ain't us) so we sneak thru the Garage and go to their apartment and Knock  the door, No Answer. So using my savvy skills I open the window and make my companion go in (its a nice apartment and you don't want to see a black kid climbing thru the window of an apartment. i didn't want to make the NEWS) so we go in and they are passed out. and we woke them up.

That's all that happened this Week.

FEMA Camps and Weird Houses

So how is it going Yall, this week has been an adventurous week. 

so i will start off telling y'all about all the people we are currently teaching, well we have been trying to find many people to talk to but we always get played. In our mission we do a ton of street contacting because tracking is not a very productive way to find people. well we talk to them they sound really nice, and we ask them hey can we come by your house and share a quick message and they give us an address we go looking for it the next day and the address is fake! 

Well  My companion and I were trying some potentials and we saw this Hispanic lady ( all of LA) so we are going to pass her by fearing that she doesn't speak English, and then i got and impression to try to talk with her, and what do you know, she speaks perfect English! and we taught her and her husband the first lesson so that was cool 

Now to My title, we were trying Former Investigators and we came across this dude and we went up to talk with him and the experience was funny. This Guy was talking about how in like a couple months The US Government is going to bust in our house and ask if we believe in god. And if we do they are going to take us to FEMA camps and basically kill us. I thought the dude was on drugs. and then me And Elder Ng went on exchanges, Elder Ng is a Elder from Hong Kong and he is so funny and we stop by this dudes house and it was kinda cool.

Beamers and Bugatti's

Hey yall how is it going, time just flies when you are having so much fun. well Last Monday we went to the Lighthouse and we saw some cool things.

we also street contacted a ton and found some new people, but we also had to drop some investigators for not keeping commitments. 

well We had a Miracle happen to us this Sunday.

so my companion and i went to contact this lady we had meet during the week, but it turned out the address the lady had given us was a fake address, so we had called the Number that she had given to us and left a voice message and told her she was invited to church. And this totally random person showed up to church this sunday and was like" someone left me a voice message to come to church..."  she is as GOLDEN as Herman in the district Videos ( missionary joke ) 

 but yeah thats all that happend

Hello Guys, everything is going well. this week has just flew by. it is a habit of mine that i think of all these cool things that happen during the week and when i start to type it just goes blank. 

So on tuesday we had transfers and i got my new companion, his name is elder hall. this week we have been working really hard to find new people to teach. we have three new investigators and we had a lesson with all of them, but we made appointments to visit them on Sunday and they all cancelled. and thats all that happen this week. 

2nd transfers

so this week was the last week of transfers. My comp, Elder Wirick, is going home on Tuesday because he finished his mission. Time has past by so fast, last Monday we played Basketball, for half the week i was on exchanges with my zone leaders because my companion had to go to the Temple.   

(sorry guys i accidentally pushed send) and then we watched General Conference, and that was so Cool, getting to hear from the leaders of our church. and today we will be going up to the Hollywood Sign with some Korean and Chinese Elders. well Ill talk to y'all next week

Hey guys this week has been great. Alot of cool things have happened. last Monday we went out to San Pedro and that was cool, and we had Korean BBQ and that was cool. and on Thursday we went to sister Greens and she is a lady that has been feeding the Missionaries since 1980 on every Thursday . On Friday I went Exchanges to Lomita and the Elders In that area cover a Samoan ward so We ate A LOT!!!! we Proselyted for about 35 Hours this whole week and we saw some interesting thing on the streets of LA. and On Sunday we Had a family from Panama attend church, so that was cool. And on Sunday Night I had to drop an investigator because he wasn't keeping commitments, so that was very sad.   And this is all that happened this week. 

oh and the hill that we took the pictures on is by the Donald Trump Golf Course. 

ps while i was typing this in the Library a Mean old man who was cursing at me almost got beat up by a Samoan who also fed us.

How is it going yall.... this week was pretty cool. on Monday last week we went to the Hollywood sign and while we were hiking up their we saw a man who claimed he was Indian Jesus so that was interesting. on Tuesday i got my iPad and we met a guy named maricio in-front of a liquor store. and then i went on exchanges in San Pedro... it is a nice part of LA its on a hill. and that sums up the rest of the week. Oh and on Saturday i ate Balut and that is Crazy lol.So that's all that happened this week. Talk to ya'll soon
